This experience is divided into 2 days: a 13 km descent on the first day and a 24 km descent on the second, or the reverse, depending on your preference. Accommodation at the Camping de la Rouvière, where you can choose between different types of accommodation: pitch, collective tent, canvas bungalow or mobile home.
Course of the experiment
– Overnight stay(s) at the campsite: Depending on your choice, stay before, during or after the descent (1 night included in the package).
– Day 1: Arrive at Camping de la Rouvière between 8:30 and 11 a.m. (or at 2:30 p.m. for the 8 km route). After formalities, you’ll be kitted out and briefed before taking the shuttle for the 13 km descent from Sampson pier. The journey takes about 3 hours (excluding stops).
– Allocation of equipment: Between 3pm and 7pm, except for free pitches or collective tents.
– Day 2: Return of equipment between 8:30 and 9:30 am, then departure for the 24 km descent to Sauze beach, lasting approximately 5 hours (excluding stops). The return to the campsite by bus is organized at a time defined during the briefing.

Embark on an extraordinary 2-day adventure with our 37 km descent through the magnificent Gorges de l’Ardèche, complete with an overnight stay at Camping de la Rouvière. This unique experience is divided into two days, offering a 13 km descent on the first day, followed by a 24 km descent on the second day, or vice versa, depending on your preferences. For your accommodation, Camping de la Rouvière offers various options: pitches, collective tents, canvas bungalows or mobile homes.
Course of the Experience
- Overnight stay(s) at the campsite : Select the time of your stay – before, during or after the descent. An overnight stay is included in the package.
- Day 1: Meet at Camping de la Rouvière between 8.30am and 11am (or 2.30pm for the 8km route). After the welcome formalities, receive your equipment and a full briefing before taking the shuttle for the 13 km descent from Sampson pier. This journey takes about 3 hours, excluding breaks.
- Allocation of accommodation: Between 3pm and 7pm for your accommodation, with the exception of free pitches or communal tents.
- Day 2: Check out between 8:30 and 9:30 am. Then embark on the 24 km descent to Sauze beach, which takes around 5 hours to sail, excluding breaks. A bus will return to the campsite at a time specified at the briefing.
- All the equipment needed for the descent.
