- The route
Enjoy a complete experience with our8 km descent of theArdèche with optional accommodation at the Rouvière campsite.
Depart every hour from our campsite to the jetty at the Pont de Salavas, for an introductory descent over rapids and under the famous Pont d’Arc.
You’ll arrive at our nautical base without any time constraints for your accommodation, which can be chosen from a range of options: free pitch, collective tent, canvas bungalow or mobile home. The level of technical and physical difficulty is easy, suitable for all participants.
After your descent, take time to enjoy the facilities at La Rouvière campsite and your accommodation on the banks of the Ardèche.

Embark on a fascinating adventure on the Ardèche with our 8 km downhill formula, perfect for families and beginners. This route takes you through accessible rapids, such as Rapide des Branches and Charlemagne, and includes the spectacular passage under the famous Pont d’Arc. Your adventure comes to an end in Châmes, where you can relax on the campsite beach, with no time constraints. The descent, excluding breaks, takes around 1h30. For accommodation, Camping de la Rouvière offers various options: pitch, collective tent, canvas bungalow or mobile home.
Course of the Experience
- Overnight stay(s) at the campsite: Enjoy an overnight stay included in the package, before or after your descent, as you prefer.
- The Day of the Descent: Departure from the Salavas bridge for a leisurely adventure to the Camping de la Rouvière. The necessary equipment, including canoe/kayak, paddles, buoyancy vest and personal effects container, is provided, with transport and initiation included.
